Education and Background
My background academically and professionally provide me experiences and knowledge in both education and politics. Two areas that are key when serving on a School Committee.
I received my Masters in Education in Higher Education in Student Affairs and Undergraduate in Communications from Salem State University.
I am the co-creator of the Emerging Scholars Program, a 1st year experience program at Salem State. I am proud to say that The Emerging Scholars Program is still going strong 10 years later.
I have testified in front of Congress for the Higher Education Act as well as countless keynote speaking and presentation engagements.
I have written pieces that have been published in Salem States’ alumni magazine The Salem Statement, written and received grants from the State, as well created workshops that were educationally-based.
I have experience working with budgets similar to OUR districts as well as experiences in creating/reviewing Bylaws and Policies.
With my background and education I know I can serve on our School Committee as a contributing member that brings a variety of skills to the table
